This is my second FN 509 Compact Tactical, and I really like these guns. For me I feel like it fits my hand better than a G19. It is also quite easy to add a red dot to this handgun. I was able to find it through GunPrime $400 cheaper than anyone locally!

What can you say, it’s an FN, perfection right out of the box and Gun prime had a great deal so I had to grab one.

I first came across FN pistols in 2009 being left handed. I have carried one ever since. This is an addition to my 509 collection. The pistol shot well for a compact using the 12 round magazine. My 17 rnd mags with the grip extension have arrived but I have not had the chance to shot with those yet.

Pro's the pistol already has a pmm comp installed and will soon have an optic, likely a holosun 507, and tlr 7x which have work well on the full size I have.

Cons- the trigger sucks and requires alot of round for some improvement or an aftermarket. Trigger which I will likely install on all
Holsters can br a pain to find with a comp, optic, and light.

I've been shooting pistols for 20 years. I own plenty and have shot even more. This pistol is one of my favorites that I have shot. The recoil is more than manageable, it fits the hand well, it shoots dead accurate and comes in a small package. Gunprime's deal on this was too good to pass up. My buddy that owns a gun shop said it was $240 under his cost! Even though I got this for just south of $600, it is worth every penny at the $800-$900 price point. Oh, it suppresses really well too!

I’m extremely happy with my first optics ready pistol. There aren’t many options out there if you want cowitness height sights out of the box. These are the best 3 dot night sights I’ve ever used. The versatility of this handgun is what got me to choose it over others. I’m pleasantly surprised by the accuracy and recoil impulse. It feels great in my hand with all 3 mag sizes. Holosun 507C fits great. I suggest buying or borrowing a torque wrench to install optics. I tried to forgo one and was way undertorqued. The trigger is the week link. It feels horrible if you’re pulling slowly to the wall. It was hardly noticeable when shooting though. It’s got better with lots of dry fire practice using snap caps.
