I’m not really a mossberg kind of guy, would prefer an 870 over anything honestly, but I am very impressed with this shotgun for the price that gunprime had it listed.

Definitely a great go-to home defense shotgun with its 20” barrel and 7+1 capacity. After putting lubricant on it, the shotgun cycles flawlessly.

The only complaint I have is how cheap the trigger group feels, especially when you operate the safety. I will probably change out the trigger group with a 500 as I’ve read they’re interchangeable, but you lose having a safety by doing that.

The shipping was extremely quick, I had the shotgun in less than 48hrs after I’d placed my order! I will definitely do business with this company again due to the price, quality, and quickness they have afforded me.

This is the 7+1 version of the maverick 88 and does fit those shells. Disassembly is very simple but reassembly can be a bit tricky. I haven’t fired it yet but I’m happy with the purchase.

Runs as well as I would expect from a Mossberg shotgun, essentially a 500 or 590 clone with the same great reliability, definitely a good tool to get ahold of if you don't already have one and you don't have the coin to spend the extra couple hundred on the better model. At the end of the day, you can trust this stick to go boom when you need it to.

Great affordable shotgun, you could afford to lose, but won't want too. Makes a great home defense shotgun, and truck gun with the 7 shot tube. Could have extended the tube on the Mossberg 500, or Remington 870 to get that capacity, or for a few dollars more bought a quality shotgun already there. Choice was simple.
It accessorizes easy enough. Installed a sling stud in the prethreaded tube, and the stock, added a paracord sling with quick release swivels, a heat shield, a flashlight holder to the tube for the Streamlight pro tac, a 6 round velcro side saddle card, and a Hi Viz front bead sight. Presto fini!
The reciever is not drilled, and tapped like the 500 or 870 for a rear sight, but honestly I prefer the bead for faster target acquisition on a combat shotgun. My 500 has a rifled slug barrel, with an optic dedicated for deer, or boar. If you go with the more expensive 500 and intend to run slugs, or 00 buck in it, replace that top tang plastic safety with steel, as I've had two factory safeties break apart under recoil, and lock up the gun. This model with the crossbolt factory configuartion will not have that issue. If you are considering a stock with a pistol grip modification, or just a brutal to your hand pistol grip, the crossbolt safety on this model will be far more intuitive, and easier to use than the ambidextrous top tang on the 500. Dollar for dollar great shotgun.

Wow ! What a nice shotgun for the price. I'm old school 870 express by remington. Since 1985 . Right out of the box shot all different types of 12 gauge from different manufacturers. Smooth operation with no hiccups . I highly recommend this shotgun. If you're recoil sensitive buy a limbsaver. I've had no problems.

This so-called poor man’s shotgun does just as good as the ones that cost seven and 800 bucks I have not had one problem…I highly recommend it.

This great shotgun, Shot box 25 out of it with out any issues as fast as I loaded them no misfire, And didn't even kick that bad at all great recoil on it and nice butt pad. I really love the way this gun runs smooth.

Extremely good experience. A bit of a computer problem when I tried to pay; the pay screen froze but, after that was resolved, it was seemlees. Delivery was faster than I could have imagined. This is a good store to shop at on line and I would not hesitate to buy again. This gun was scarce around the country and they had it at a competitive price.
