Delving deeper, the MAC 9 DS COMP boasts a hammer-forged steel barrel for consistent accuracy, forward slide serrations for secure manipulations, and an adjustable skeletonized trigger with skeletonized hammer for crisp pulls and faster lock times. The STI-compatible polymer grip with 25 LPI front strap texturing ensures a firm hold, while the included AOS RMR plate allows seamless optic mounting with co-witness fiber optic front and serrated rear sights. Its customizable magazine release enhances reload speed, contributing to overall performance in high-pressure scenarios.
Ideal for personal defense, competitive shooting, and professional duty, the MAC 9 DS COMP excels in situations requiring quick follow-up shots and customization. This was my cheap way to see what the Staccato hype is all about. I had 1911 45's so I understand they kick decently. I never appreciated a 1911 trigger until this guy. Welp, I am a firm believer in DS 1911's! The trigger is crisp and light and breaks practically immediately. I have several dozen striker-fired pieces, and now I am a trigger snob after using my MAC 9. The setup includes a plate, on which I put an Olight optic on (had to dremel out some of the inside to fit the charging hood) and an Olight light. If you point this in the general direction of the target, it hits dead center. I took a buddy to the range and he tried for the first time my G45, and then my MAC 9. His is left side of the target, mine is right side. Top row is G45, the bottom 2 are the MAC 9. It's no comparison. My only gripe with this is that I had to adjust my grip due to the thumb safety. I kept pushing it up with my thumb. Due to the low recoil, I can put my thumb on the safety and it does not mess with results or recoil control, because there is none. Another gripe is my Optic has a charging hood and the rear irons do not allow it to seat to charge. Olight sent me a spare hood (free via customer service) and I dremeled the inside to clear the iron sight bump. Probably 1,500 rounds through this so far without a single malfunction. I might actually buy a Staccato now...maybe. Let the record show, my bottom right target was the MAC one-handed.
Really nice deal, and super fast shipping, Thank you.
The MAC‑9DS 9mm with the optics‑ready top, short 4.25″ barrel and compensator is a compact, hard‑hitting package built for fast handling and fun on the range. It’s not a precision rifle — it’s a short‑barreled, high‑rate, close‑quarters compact pistol (or pistol‑caliber carbine variant depending on configuration) that excels at point‑and‑shoot engagement, rapid follow‑ups, and jaw‑dropping blowback‑style personality. If you want something that’s entertaining, compact, and capable in close quarters, this is a solid pick — just know its limits for accuracy and recoil impulse.
You need this Gun!!! I
Really performs well. No complaints here.
Good shooting gun for the money. Shipped very quickly. Added an prodigy grip module to it.
Got what I ordered in about 5 days.
Was curious about the 2011 world but didn't want to break the bank. This has exceeded my expectations and would purchase from here again. The shipping was fast and customer service was excellent.
I have several 2011/1911 i love this not just for price. But it runs like a beast.

It's well made and fit and finish is excellent. The only negative thing I've found is the safety is too easy to disengage and the ambi side is a little jiggley. Not a big problem I can remedy that All and all I am happy with my purchase and the service of gunprime.
After seeing positive reviews of this new offering from MAC regarding reliability, the price, and avoidance of MIM parts I decided to look for one. GunPrime had the lowest price for this gun by at least $100. I ordered On April 2nd, 2025 and got a call mid-morning the next day from the FFL saying my gun was there and ready for transfer. This was my first purchase from GunPrime and I am impressed with their service and shipping. I'll add to the review once I get a chance to put some rounds down range.
I have put about 300 rounds now, and the first two magazines had a lot of FTF. After that I have not had a single FTF. Well balanced, and very flat shooting, a real pleasure to shoot. I also have the prior version, and I its also great value for the money. I think this is a great starting point to get into the 2011 game.
