Description
This is an antique Colt Open Top Pocket Model Revolver chambered in .22 caliber, featuring a 7-shot cylinder and 2⅜-inch barrel. These compact rimfire revolvers were produced during Colt’s early cartridge era and represent some of the smallest and most collectible handguns in Colt’s 19th-century lineup.
This example retains its brass frame, steel barrel and cylinder, and walnut grips, with honest wear and patina consistent with age. The grips are serial-numbered (5175), matching the revolver and reflecting correct Colt factory practice. Metal surfaces show expected finish loss and toning, but the overall presentation remains solid and attractive for an antique pocket revolver.
As an antique firearm, this revolver is not subject to a 4473 transfer under federal law. It is best suited as a collector or display piece, offering genuine Colt history without modern transfer requirements.
